Construction Department Manager

Deryl is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all construction activities, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with Millig's superior quality and safety standards. His primary duties include developing and implementing departmental strategies and objectives, managing resources, and establishing operational procedures.

He's also responsible for supervising project managers, field engineers, and other construction professionals, as well as coordinating with other departments and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution. Additionally, Deryl handles personnel management, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations, and ensures that the construction team adheres to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Deryl brings strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations to every Millig job site.

    Deryl worked as the construction manager on a variety of projects for the Performance Engineering Division. He was responsible for the entire construction management portion of projects, including both the project and field management aspects. He ensured projects were delivered on time, within the designated budget, and according to the client's expectations.

    In his role as project manager, Deryl supervised workers on the project site, inspected and reviewed projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and obtained all of the necessary permits and licenses for projects. Deryl also prepared contracts and negotiated revisions/additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.

    Deryl developed project estimates and created construction schedules for clients and subcontractors. He also qualified, reviewed, and selected subcontractors for individual projects.
